Tree preservation and conservation requirements can be found within Article 13 of the Zoning Ordinance. The City of Granbury has adopted requirements to preserve protected trees which are generally hardwoods such as oaks, elms and pecans with a diameter of six inches or greater at a height of 48 inches. A Tree Conservation Plan is required to request approval to remove protected trees.
