After several weeks of working behind the scenes to bring more COVID-19 vaccines to Granbury and all of Hood County, Hood County Judge Ron Massingill and Granbury Mayor Nin Hulett’s hard work has paid off as 1500 doses of the Moderna vaccine have arrived in Hood County, with more expected in coming weeks.

Assets, personnel and volunteers from Hood County and the City of Granbury have set up a registration process that everyone MUST complete in order to receive a date and time for their vaccines.

“We urge everyone to check the Hood County website (https://co.hood.tx.us/) for information on registration,” said Jay Webster, Hood County Emergency Management Coordinator. “They can register for themselves and relatives, but they must register online in order to receive an appointment to get the vaccine.”

“We ask citizens to be patient with the process as we have a high demand for the vaccine, but only a limited supply,” Webster said. “We anticipate receiving more allocations of the vaccine in future weeks.”

Vaccines will be given out by scheduled appointment only at the Granbury Independent School District Administration building, 217 N Jones St, Granbury.

For questions or more information please contact the Hood County Vaccination Phone Bank at 682-936-4787, between the hours of  8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday thru Friday.
