The Granbury City Council named Brawner Intermediate School Student Council Historian Mason Ward an Honorary Councilmember at the November 19, 2019 City Council Meeting in recognition of his academic excellence, leadership, and representation of the qualities of an excellent councilmember.
Mason Ward is the son of Steve and Kriste Ward. He is a 5th grade student at Brawner Intermediate School and historian of Student Council. Mason says his favorite class at BIS is social studies. His hobbies include sports, reading, history, and acting. Outside of the classroom, Mason is a member of the First United Methodist Church.
The Granbury City Council will continue to recognize exceptional students involved in student council from different schools in the Granbury Independent School District at future City Council meetings.
