Responsibilities
The code enforcement officers for the city of Granbury work to prevent and abate nuisances on private property such as weeds, illegal dumping, junked vehicles, and other issues to provide a safe and sanitary environment. They seek to enhance neighborhoods and citizens' health, safety, and general welfare through efficient and effective city code enforcement.
Many ordinances both directly and indirectly help reduce breeding places for insects, rodents, and disease. Other ordinances are in place to increase personal safety, and help to improve the appearance of neighborhoods, and protect property values.
