City Council

Council Member Bruce Wadley (left) takes the oath of office to begin his third consecutive 3-year term during the Nov. 19 Granbury City Council meeting. Wadley was reelected without opposition for the Place 3 seat.  VIDEO LINK

Outgoing Place 5 Council Member and Mayor Pro tem Steven Vale (lower center) is recognized for his dedicated public service, which also included the Planning & Zoning Commission. Vale opted to not seek reelection to City Council. VIDEO LINK

City Capital Projects Update

Knox Groundwater Storage Tanks Knox Tank #1 is complete and operational, though the top will require rehabilitation in 12–18 months. Knox Tank #2 is also slated for refurbishment.

Water Treatment Plant A second water pump has been rehabilitated and reinstalled, now fully operational. A Council-approved additional pump is expected to arrive mid-next year.

South Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrades are complete, and steps are being taken to address an identified odor issue.

East Wastewater Treatment Plant Construction is ahead of schedule, with completion anticipated in 2026. Nearly 5,000 cubic yards of concrete have been poured, and most treatment units are already built.

Calinco Drive Reconstruction Progress is about 65% complete, with some delays due to weather. The project is expected to finish in January.

Highway 377 at Archer Court Turn lanes and road signs will be added.
