Night of Lights Parade

--Due to safety concerns for installers, lights will not be strung from the top of the Historic Hood County Courthouse on the Square this year.

--This week, City of Granbury staff are completing installation of new energy-efficient LED lights on the perimeter of buildings on the Square.

--Just in time for the holidays, the Lake Granbury Area Beautification Council (LGABC) has come up with a new way to make the community an even more lovely place—thousands of lights in the smaller trees around the Historic Courthouse Square. They complement LGBC’s giant lighted Christmas trees that adorn each corner of the Square. READ MORE AND WATCH A VIDEO

Councilperson Place 4 Runoff Election Early Voting begins Monday (Nov. 27)

The election for Councilperson Place 4 had three candidates. Since none of the candidates received more than half the votes, a runoff election with the top two candidates, Charles Beard and Gary “Skip” Overdier, is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 9. Early voting in person for the runoff election starts on Monday, Nov. 27, and ends on Tuesday, Dec. 5. CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFORMATION
