Granbury supplies Water

The City of Granbury has responded to an emergency request from Aqua Texas to supply water to homes in northeast Granbury.

Aqua Texas’ water supply is far below normal, so the City will be selling them water. “This is the City of Granbury being a good neighbor to a nearby utility,” said Chester Nolen, Director of Public Works. The systems should be connected Thursday afternoon (July 20) and the arrangement is expected to be in place for a week or less.

Although the Granbury area has had little or no rainfall recently, the City’s water supply is adequate due to Lake Granbury being at or near capacity.
